Pixlr
Pixlr is a great tool for editing photos and other images online in your browser - without the need to download or even registering a user account
This tool offers many of the same features as Adobe Photoshop. It is just incredible how accessible these functions have become thanks to tools just like this one.

There is a 30-day free trial for the Premium version of Pixlr. The paid versions of this tool invluces more editing tools, thousands of overlays, icons/stickers, decorative texts, assets, and templates.

Photoshop
Photoshop is the industry standard when it comes to photo editing. I've used photoshop for about 10 years almost daily. It is really useful for photo and image editing as well as for creating and editing other illustrations, icons and logos. I guess the best way to create modern logos though, is to use a vector based tool, like for instance Adobe Illustrator.
Premium Price
One of the drawbacks to Photoshop is that you have to pay a monthly fee to use it. Starting at $9.99/mo for personal use and $33.99/mo for businesses, it really is not the right tool for beginners that are on a tight budget.
Bundles
For me though it makes sense to subscribe to a bundle as I need several of the tools that Adobe offers.
They used to offer different budles for different use cases. But now, I see that they just offer a budnle with all apps. If you need several of them this makes sense and even makes it very affordable.
The bundle includes Illustrator for creating and editing vectors, Premiere Pro and After Effects for editing video and creating video effects, and many more tools.
